Virtual Reality Simulator for the Occupational Risks Prevention

FEMEVAL (Federación Empresarial Metalúrgica Valenciana), characterized by representing the most innovative companies in the metal industry in the province of Valencia, uses our virtual reality technology for its occupational health and safety training courses, making them more practical and collaborative. Upon entering the virtual learning platform, the operator selects the specific prevention module: office, milling machine, press, lathe, radial arm drill, welding, scaffolding, or ladder.

The aim of the association is to increase the participation of workers during training and reduce accidents and costs, both human and economic, in the workplace.

Solution

Thanks to virtual reality, FEMEVAL has set up a simulated training platform where workers experience and practice first-hand scenarios that could involve risk in real life. The level of immersion and interaction generated in the simulation is one of the main attractions of the Femeval experience. Its contribution to safety and innovation also works to facilitate the process of assimilation and retention of the training.

Technology

The devices supporting this virtual reality platform are Oculus Quest 2, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Pico VR and Vive Focus 2. These glasses allow to obtain the maximum performance and graphic quality during virtual reality training.
