Interactive 3D virtual showroom for Tavil

Virtual visualisation of heavy machinery on touchscreens

The challenge: To showcase large-scale machinery at trade fairs in a striking and cost-effective way

In the industrial machinery sector, attending major international trade fairs such as Interpack presents a significant logistical and financial challenge. Tavil needed an innovative strategy to showcase its complex automated case-packing and palletising lines without having to physically transport heavy equipment, which would have driven up the costs of transport and stand assembly.

The main objective set for Innoarea was to design a distinctive and highly appealing feature that would capture visitors’ attention in a competitive trade fair environment. Tavil sought to project an image of cutting-edge technology, attracting as many potential customers as possible to its stand through a descriptive, visual and intuitive experience of its product range.

The solution: A virtual, interactive showroom optimised for touchscreen devices

To meet this need, Innoarea Projects developed an interactive virtual showroom designed to run on touchscreen devices such as tablets. This tool enables sales representatives and visitors to take comprehensive virtual tours of Tavil’s facilities and packaging lines, gaining an in-depth understanding of how each system works in a simple and engaging way.

The app combines 3D renderings of the machinery with real high-definition videos of the equipment in full operation. Thanks to this technological combination, users can interact directly with different parts of the machines by tapping the touchscreen to display detailed technical information, operational diagrams and key data on the flexibility of the multi-format system.

Key findings

The launch of Innoarea’s XR showroom marked a turning point in Tavil’s marketing and sales strategy during Interpack 2017. By replacing traditional physical demonstrations with an immersive digital experience, the company not only significantly reduced its expenditure on floor space and the transport of machinery, but also maximised the use of its exhibition space.

Furthermore, the tool provided the sales team with a powerful and portable communication platform, capable of explaining complex industrial processes quickly and clearly. This commitment to interactive technology strengthened Tavil’s brand image as an innovative leader in the packaging automation sector, giving it a clear competitive advantage over other market players.
