The solution: An augmented reality app based on 3D recognition
We developed a mobile app featuring 3D model detection and recognition techniques tailored to Flamingueo’s unicorn float. This technical architecture enabled the virtual components to be firmly positioned and anchored onto the real float using direct camera scanning.
The tool allows users to overlay digital elements onto the actual product and includes the Trap, Hippie, Love and Summer modes. With a few simple taps on the screen, users can activate real-time effects and animations to create and share content directly on their social media.
Increase in user engagement with the product on social media
Seamless integration through direct three-dimensional detection without physical markers

- Optimised algorithm for recognising the volume of the physical float
- Four modes (Trap, Hippie, Love and Summer) with specific physics and particles
- Animation triggers and special effects when you tap the smartphone screen
- Content creation ready to be recorded and shared on digital platforms
Key findings
The implementation of augmented reality technology added significant value to the Flamingueo shopping experience, transforming a physical product into an interactive form of entertainment. This innovation boosted the brand’s visibility in digital environments, stimulating user-generated content (UGC) in an organic and direct way.
As well as enhancing the company’s reputation and strengthening customer loyalty, the solution positioned Flamingueo as a leader in innovation within its sector. The project enabled the company to reach a wider audience, offering new possibilities for recreational use and enhancing the unique appeal of its flagship product.
