Challenge

The main problem is in DAM's facilities, where incidents and emergency situations can occur. For example, flooding of modules or workplace accidents that put workers and company facilities at high risk. This means that the company needs to invest time and resources in order to solve the problems. This success story was born with the objective of optimizing the maintenance and repair processes of DAM's facilities.

Solution

The best solution in this case is the Training VR platform. This allows DAM to provide specific training to the technicians of its WWTP plant in Alzira-Carcaixen (Valencia), with which they learn in first person how to perform correctly and safely the tasks related to the maintenance and repair of the facilities.

Technology

This project has been developed for the Virtual Reality device Oculus Rift, which allows us to achieve the highest graphic quality so that the user can experience with great realism the feeling of being giving first-person solution to the incidents. The Oculus Insight system works at room scale, allowing users to move around a real space to interact with the application.
