The solution: An interactive augmented reality tour with multiplayer gamification
Innoarea designed an immersive experience using tablets and augmented reality, structured around an 11-stop tour of the venue. Through the display of virtual 3D continents, groups of up to five players explored staff statistics, project costs and R&D investment in real time, comparing indicators and tracking the company’s overall progress.
The gamified mechanics required users to complete the 15-minute route to unlock the final content: a virtual hatch from which a Continental tyre emerged, held aloft by a robotic arm. This animation guided users to the central physical totem, triggering audiovisual content on their screens and creating a highly striking and engaging visual experience.

Key findings
The solution generated significant buzz, resulting in a constant queue of visitors throughout the event and dramatically increasing the time spent engaging with the brand. By turning complex metrics into a collaborative game, it made the company’s strategy easier to understand and reinforced the internal perception of Continental as a leader in innovation and disruptive technologies.
The impact extended beyond the duration of the original event in Copenhagen. Given the high level of participation and the effectiveness of the format in conveying corporate messages, Continental decided to extend the project’s lifespan and replicate the experience at various global venues to present its progress in Industry 4.0 to different stakeholder groups.
