The solution: Integration of WebAR technology via QR codes
In collaboration with HubMedia, we developed a WebAR-based augmented reality experience for the Play-Doh Oven. We designed the user flow and the graphical interface, implementing the necessary SDKs to run the 3D technology directly in the mobile device’s browser after scanning a QR code.
The system allows the toy to be brought digitally into the customer’s real-world environment – such as their own kitchen at home – without the need to download any apps. We carried out graphical refinement and optimisation to ensure smooth performance, maximising engagement and added value on Hasbro’s e-commerce channel.
Increase in the engagement rate with the advertising catalogue
User retention whilst browsing e-commerce sites

- Direct access to the augmented reality experience from any mobile browser
- Immersive 3D presentation that allows you to preview the size and appearance of the toy in real space
- Quick scanning from the physical or digital catalogue for instant activation
- WebAR integration with high-performance graphics and cross-platform debugging tests
Key findings
The implementation of WebAR technology transformed consumer interaction with the Hasbro brand, providing significant added value both on e-commerce channels and in traditional advertising catalogues. By removing the need to download an app beforehand, the adoption rate amongst users increased substantially, facilitating instant access to the digitised product.
Thanks to this interactive solution, users were able to view and experiment with the Play-Doh Oven in their own environment, boosting brand recall and confidence in their purchasing decision. The project cemented Hasbro’s digital marketing strategy as a benchmark for innovation and technological accessibility.
