The solution: An interactive virtual reality and touchscreen ecosystem
We designed and implemented a dual system that combines a virtual reality experience for Meta Quest with an interactive touchscreen application. The VR application immerses the user in a guided tour where they interact with an interactive 3D model of the museum. Through avatars and animations, visitors can activate, rotate and explore different areas of the exhibition in detail, which transform dynamically as they move through them.
At the same time, the interactive screen invites visitors to complete a quick, visual questionnaire about their impressions of the exhibition. This combination brings together high-impact, immersive learning with a tool for active listening, offering a comprehensive, accessible and participatory experience within the museum space.

Key findings
The implementation of the project at “Terra Extraordinària” has revitalised the visitor experience at the Museu de les Ciències, successfully attracting a diverse range of visitors and significantly increasing the average time spent in the exhibition space. Turning scientific theory into an interactive experience has improved the retention of educational content and the overall satisfaction with the visit.
Furthermore, the data collected in real time via touchscreens has provided the institution with metrics of great strategic value for assessing public interest. The convergence of virtual reality and active data collection reinforces the organisation’s position as a leader in cultural innovation and immersive outreach.
