360º interactive content for vocational training centres

Production and installation of immersive experiences in Castile and León

The challenge: Providing vocational training centres with high-quality, easy-to-manage content

Educational centres faced several challenges: the need for immersive content that was attractive and adapted to their classrooms, dependence on external technical support for new productions, and limitations in terms of time and resources for recording their own material. In addition, teachers required intuitive tools that would allow them to manage and reuse content without complications.

Each centre had multiple workshops and professional branches (mechanics, welding, electrical, hydraulic, solar, automotive and construction installations), so the content had to be versatile, interactive and compatible with different environments and equipment. It was essential to create reusable and easy-to-update materials that would maintain students’ interest and improve knowledge retention.

The solution: Immersive 360º content, installation, and comprehensive teacher training.

A total of 24 interactive content items were developed, distributed across four centres and two professional branches per centre. Each content item included 360º videos recorded in 8K, interactive 360º environments, and multimedia panels enriched with PDFs, videos, and links. All content was carefully adapted to the immersive rooms at each centre, ensuring compatibility and ease of use.

To overcome dependence on external technical support, each centre was provided with a 360º camera, along with specific training for teachers in content production and management. In addition, installation, commissioning and initial support were provided, along with weekly follow-up meetings, and comprehensive documentation and customised manuals were delivered to ensure autonomy and pedagogical continuity.

The content focused mainly on 360º videos, due to their ease of management and high visual impact. This decision allows centres to be self-sufficient, create new content and maintain an immersive learning experience without relying on complex developments or constant external support.

  • Initial training for teaching staff and technical support during implementation
  • Complete documentation and manuals customised with clear instructions
  • Scalable and self-sufficient platform, allowing new content to be created without external support

Key findings

Educational centres now offer high-impact immersive experiences that allow students to explore workshops, facilities and machinery in a safe, practical and visually appealing way. This has improved understanding of processes, motivation and learning retention.

Thanks to teacher training, the provision of 360º cameras and comprehensive documentation, schools can create their own content independently, ensuring pedagogical continuity and project scalability. The solution guarantees efficiency, sustainability and autonomy in the creation of immersive experiences, complying with NextGenerationEU European funding across all media.
