Augmented Reality Application for Faurecia
Faurecia is one of the world’s leading suppliers of automotive components in its three business lines: Interiors, Clean Mobility and Seating. In the Valencia region, Faurecia has a workforce of more than 800 employees located in the Ford supplier industrial park in Almussafes. It also has an Interiors Technical Center located in the Paterna Technology Park.
Faurecia uses the latest technologies and is committed to innovation. Currently, one of its strategic points in terms of technology is the development of the Cockpit of the Future, automation and digitization of processes.
Faurecia organized an internal fair together with all the international headquarters in which each country presented a technological application focused on their processes, together with Innoarea we created an Augmented Reality application.
Challenge
Faurecia wanted to improve the visibility of live information from its manufacturing processes, the challenge was to develop a system that would display information quickly and through QR codes for easy application.
Solution
To meet Faurecia's needs, we resorted to creating our own application which, through QR codes, was able to display the information of the processes carried out with Augmented Reality.
Technology
Augmented Reality (or Augmented Reality, AR) is a technology that allows us to superimpose virtual elements over our vision of reality. It also allows us to magnify what our eyes see, using technological devices such as cell phones, tablets, etc. This type of technology helps us to generate experiences that allow us to know in depth our environment in 3D, in real time and with its real dimensions.
